3 judges of Durrës Court of Appeal suspended of office for attending Real Madrid and Barcelona with a businessmen

 Under the direction of the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, the High Council of Justice, held  yesterday, on 09th of February 2018, the plenary session, inter alia has suspended three judges of Durrës Court of Appeal, Petrit Ceno, Kliton Spahiu and Petraq Dhimitri.

This decision came after the members of the Council were informed and reviewed information received by the Chief Prosecutor of First Instance for Serious Crimes, on 06.02.2018, announcing the as defendants the three above-mentioned judges.

As one of the suspended judges exercises also the duty of the Head of the Durrës Court of Appeal, the Council appointed the judge Desart Avdulaj to temporarily exercise the office of the President of this Court.

The prosecution says that the three judges are suspected of illegally obtaining trips abroad, even in one case have followed a football match in Spain.

For these benefits, according to the Prosecutor's Office, have issued a civil decision in favor of the businessman Namik Sadik who is also under investigation by Serious Crimes. As evidence, the Prosecution showed the travel of the three judges at the same time with the businessman in Italy and Spain, as well as byiing of the tickets to the same company.

According to Prosecution investigations, the judges have traveled to attend the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
