 Bloodlands - first Albanian horror film appears in Scotland

"Bloodlands" is the first Albanian horror film premiered at "Frightfilm", a festival dedicated to terrific films.

This movie was filmed in Albania in October 2014 by Australian production "Kastlefilms".

"Bloodlands" unfolds the story of a simple woman who is raped, becomes pregnant and stigmatized by residents of her neighborhood.

He was exiled into the mountain and is stigmatized as a witch. Hurt, hated, and exiled this woman decides to become a real witch and take avenge for all the pain they have caused to her.

The actress Suela Bako plays in the role of the mother in a family where the main events of the film take place, where a family has to face the curse of a witch.

The event takes place in Tirana, where typical modern Albanian families fall prey to the attack of vampires led by witches, in this role is the actress from Kosovo, Ilire Vinca.

All of actors are Albanian and the movie in Albanian language. Actors playing in this film are Gezim Rudi, Suela Baco, Emiliano Xhemalaj Palali and Alesia.

"FrightFest" is the biggest festival of horror in the UK and for more than a decade cooperates with the festival in Glasgow where the best horror genre films from around the world are casted.

After the premiere in England, the film Bloodlands will travel to Portugal Fantasporto, while for the Albanian public is expected to be ready around June.
