Kosovo becomes UEFA-s newest member with full rights

 At the 40th Congress held in Budapest, members of the Congress of UEFA voted for acceptance of Kosovo in this organisation, by defeating Serbia in the battle of to block the Football Federation of Kosovo to becomes then newest member the the highest institution of football in Europe.

For Kosovo, 28 countries voted in favor, while 24 voted against, including Serbia and Russia, and the two votes were abstentions. Kosovo needed only 28 votes for admission to UEFA

Since 13 January 2014, Kosovo had been allowed for friendlies representative and clubs, but with some conditions, but as of today Kosovo will be treated equal by UEFA as other countries of the world.
