Greek media: drugs, prostitution and trafficking in the refugee camp of Idomeni

 Greek media have raised the alarm that criminal groups have gained ground in Idomeni refugee camp, turning it into a place of human trafficking, drugs and prostitution.

According to Greek media, Moroccans and Iraqis exploit women for prostitution as well as refugees who are alone and vulnerable. Traffickers take 5 to 10 euros for each client.

Currently at the camp of Idomenit are trapped 9200 refugees, while the total number of refugees who are currently in Greece is about 54,500.
