Mosques and Churches open on Thursday in Kosovo

 The incumbent Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, in a press conference, together with the leaders of the religious communities in Kosovo, announced the easing of some restrictive measures, which have been in force for a long time due to COVID-19 pandemic. He said that from May 28 there will be relief of restrictive measures.

The incumbent Minister of Health has said that mosques and churches will be opened from Thursday. The third phase of easing measures begins on June 1.

Vitia, said in a press conference that from Thursday, citizens will be able to move without any restrictions for 16 hours a day, from 5:00 am to 09:00 pm.

He also said that from Thursday, religious facilities will be opened, such as mosques and churches.

"This is a joint success," he said at the conference, which was also attended by the head of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, Naim Tërnava, the head of the Kosovo Bishopric, Monsignor Dodë Gjergji, the director of the NIPHK, Naser Ramadani and the director of UCCK Infectious Diseases Clinic, Lindita Ajazaj Berisha.

Meanwhile, the quarantine at the Student Center in Prishtina will be closed by the end of May. This was announced by the acting Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, on Monday at a press conference..
