Kukës Airport in 2021 will be ready and some North Albanians will fly free of charge, Prime says

There has long been talked of construction at least one more airport in Albania, as ticket prices are among the most expensive in Europe, although Europe's poorest country. This has come as a result of abusive concessions in the past favoring the monopoly of the only airport in Albania - Mother Teresa.

Ticket prices affect directly the economy of Albania as over the last 30 years have emigrated almost as many inhabitants as there are currently in Albania, about 2.5 million. So Albania's connections mainly with Europe and America and are multiple and air travel is already a necessity.

In this sense, several attempts have been made recently to build other airports, in order to reduce the cost of flights, including Kukës Airport, Vlora Airport, Saranda Airport, and even the construction of Korça Airport.

In this sense, Prime Minister Edi Rama has shared today on his Facebook page a video of the works that are being carried out for the construction of the Kukes airport.

The head of government has chosen to respond to all those skeptical voices who have ridiculed him for this airport.

"GOOD MORNING, with this video dedicated to all those who have made fun of me for Kukes Airport, where we are working intensively and next year we will make the plane Migjen to land here, with a free flight for all those who have insulted me from London😉" , writes Rama, while he has chosen as a soundtrack for the video, the famous dance of Kukës.
