Kosovo Squad for Nations League: Rrahmani Missing, Bayern Talent Erblin Osmani Called Up

Kosovo head coach Franco Foda has announced his squad for the national team’s first four matches of the new UEFA Nations League campaign.

The list includes Edon Zhegrova and Milot Rashica, while former captain Amir Rrahmani is absent. Rrahmani has reportedly decided to step away from the national team following disagreements with the leadership of the Football Federation of Kosovo.

One of the biggest surprises in Foda’s squad is 17-year-old Erblin Osmani, a talent from Bayern Munich’s academy. Osmani has previously represented Germany at U16 and U17 level but has now chosen to represent Kosovo at senior level.

Another new name is Dion Kacurri, 22, who previously played for Switzerland U21 and currently represents Austrian club Austria Lustenau.

Kosovo will open its Nations League campaign on September 24 against Ireland in Prishtina. The team is in Group 3 of League B.
