“Haradinaj is a liar and he continues to lie. I don't know if he does this out of ignorance, but he is a liar,” Rama said in a statement to the media after the Summit closed.
Earlier, during a joint conference with the leaders of Serbia, North Macedonia, and Montenegro, Rama said the initiative is not exclusive to anyone, it is inclusive, open, it is not imposed on anyone and is not imposed by anyone. We have invited everyone to participate. Let me be clear, for me, the repeated refusal of the Kosovo authorities is incomprehensible and harmful to Kosovo itself," Rama said.
“We are here to build the bridge between the past that divides us and the future that unites us. My deep conviction is that this whole process is in full coherence with the commitment of every country to join the European family. The wounds of the past are not cured with poison and acid, but with medicines, and we are not here to invited these medicines, but to see how they work in similar realities”, the Prime Minister added.
Rama said the opening of borders between Albania and Kosovo has been repeated for 30 years whenever there is an election. "But the borders cannot be opened. Not because they are brought to Belgrade, but because they are taken to Washington, to Brussels. While with this initiative we are saying to open all borders and Kosovo is not excluded," said Rama. "What we are doing is not for power and votes, if we were for power and votes we would not be here today. This is for the future, for ordinary people."
