Rama: Religious Culture protects against religious radicalism

The latest project of the Albanian Government for the introduction in Albanian schools the history of religions, seems to have aroused interest in American opinion.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is staying for several days in an official visit to US, gave more explanations on this issue during a conversation in "Atlantic Council".

"We have decided to apply a new project, to teach new generations in Albanian schools on cultural and religious history. These are concrete efforts to protect our society and to give them a clear vision that religious radicalism and Islam are unrelated between them," explained the idea of this project, Mr. Rama.

According to him "... the fight against extremism must be continued and the greater response to the so-called Islamic State is not only war but also the education". "It's a long-term battle. This reform should be the first for the new generation to give them the opportunity to not being involved in the ISIS propaganda, whether from the East or the West," he added further.
