Ardian Fullani was released from prison. Ex-governor will stay on "house arrest". The decision was given by judge Alaudin Malaj while other judges were also Agim Bendo and Shkelqim Miri.
Fullani will stay on "house arrest" until the conclusion of the investigation by the prosecution for the theft of the Bank of Albania.
At the hearing, he said that his work is guided by law, passion and devotion.
He says he is not responsible for robbing the Bank of Albania and should be released.
"I worked correctly and honestly. 30 years as a banker and 10 years as governor of the Bank of Albania. I am guided by the law, passion and devotion in my work.
I worked for the establishment of an institution based on the law, model and European central banks. Prestigious financial institutions in the world have certified the performance of the Bank.
What happened is very serious, but we have denounced everything. Measures should be taken for such things not to happen again. Stealing the Bank was a low strike", he said.
