In a statement issued following the conclusion of the May 11 elections, Shehaj expressed both pride and determination, emphasizing the symbolic and practical significance of the results for a party that challenged the political status quo.

“The impossible has happened,” Shehaj declared. “Despite the fear spread night after night, despite a system built to keep newcomers out, despite propaganda, power, and the establishment—we fought, we faced them, and we succeeded.”

The party garnered the support of approximately 50,000 voters, a result Shehaj described as the breaking of a previously “impenetrable wall.” He underlined that Mundësia achieved this milestone without empty promises, political bargaining, or backroom deals.

“No games. No deals. No ‘give to get.’ We’ve broken a wall that once seemed unbreakable. But the real work begins now,” Shehaj said.

With their entry into parliament, Shehaj pledged that Mundësia will stand firm and vocal in representing its constituents. He promised to advocate with facts, resilience, and integrity—specifically for those who voted for the party, but also for every Albanian who still hopes for meaningful change.

“There’s no more time to remain spectators or wait for a savior. Come! Join us! With your support, anything is possible. Mundësia is the opposition of the 21st century—honest, real, modern, and determined.”

Shehaj also extended his gratitude to the voters, observers, candidates, supporters from the diaspora, and all individuals who, whether publicly or silently, supported the party.

Concluding his remarks, Shehaj reaffirmed the party’s forward-looking mission:

Mundësia is the opposition of the 21st century. An opposition that looks to the future—a future that includes us all.”

The emergence of Mundësia as a new political force marks a potential shift in the Albanian political landscape, signaling rising appetite for alternative voices and fresh leadership in national politics.
