Two human traffickers arrested in Devoll, they take 150 euros per each clandestine in exchange of border crossing

 Two people have been arrested by the Korça police after they tried to smuggle illegal immigrants across the border with Greece, in exchange for payments.

The blue uniforms said the detainees got 150 euros from each migrant and promised to send them to EU countries.

Police prevent another case of attempted illegal border crossing.

Citizens were transported from third countries, for profit, in order to cross the border illegally, two citizens were handcuffed.

The services of the Crimes Investigation Sector in Korça, in cooperation with the Kapshtica Border Police and the services of Frontex, have hit another case of criminal activity of providing assistance for illegal border crossing. As a result these citizens were caught and arrested in flagrante delicto:

K. Z., 21 years old, resident in Tirana (previously convicted for “Irregular driving”;

R. D., 37 years old, resident in Tirana (previously convicted in N. Macedonia, for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics");

Their arrest was made after they were 'caught red-handed' by the Police services on the road axis Korça-Bilisht, in the place called Ura e Trenit (Eng: Train Bridge), with an off-road vehicle type BMW, driven by the citizen R.D., transporting 2  foreigners (illegal immigrants), who, in exchange of 150 euros each, we're promised a move to EU countries.

The materials in their charge were handed over to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Korça, for the criminal offense "Assistance for illegal border crossing, committed in collaboration".
