US Embassy in Tirana says Albanian's people wish is the Justice Reform to move forward

 The US Embassy issued a statement today focusing on justice reform. The US Embassy states that the United States remains committed to justice reform, which is painful, slow and imperfect, but necessary. According to the embassy, justice reform, the demand of the Albanian people, must continue, so that Albania becomes a full member of the European family.

The United States remains firmly committed to Justice Reform, which is the demand of the Albanian people. In response to this demand, in 2016, Parliament unanimously adopted the foundational laws for reform. Since then, key institutions have been erected and implementation is underway to make them fully functional. Reform is painful, slow, and imperfect, but it is necessary. Justice reform is making progress and it must continue so that Albania can become a full member of the European family. All elements of the U.S. Embassy will continue to support the goal of the Albanian people. We must not get distracted, we must not get confused – the goal is clear, the Albanian people have spoken, and Justice Reform must move forward, step by step..
