Ardian Ismajli is officially a Torino player, with the Italian club unveiling the Albanian defender in a unique and symbolic fashion. In a gesture that honored his national identity, Torino presented Ismajli through the emblem of the eagle—an iconic symbol of Albania.
After several hints across social media, the Serie A club confirmed the transfer through an official statement. Ismajli has signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2027, with an option to extend for an additional year.
In its announcement, the club highlighted Ismajli’s significant experience, noting that he had played 106 matches with Empoli. On the international stage, he has earned 45 caps with the Albanian national team, scoring three goals.
“Hello Granata fans. I am honored to wear the shirt of the Bulls. Forza Toro!” were Ismajli’s first words following his presentation, warmly addressing his new supporters.
According to Italian media, Ismajli had received a lucrative offer from Qatar back in May. Al Ain reportedly offered him a three-year contract worth a total of €7 million. However, the defender turned it down, remaining firm in his ambition to continue playing at the highest level in Serie A. He joined Torino as a free agent.
Joining a club with Torino’s legacy marks a major milestone in Ismajli’s career. The move is also expected to have a positive impact on his performances with the Albanian national team, as he continues to grow on both domestic and international fronts.
