Despite intense summer temperatures, the atmosphere at Kasernenareal remained vibrant throughout the day and well into the night. Young Albanians from across Europe danced to Albanian music and celebrated their shared heritage in what became a powerful display of cultural pride and diaspora unity.

Held on June 20 and 21 in central Zurich, Alba Festival has grown into one of the most important annual gatherings for the Albanian community abroad. This year's edition once again attracted visitors from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and numerous other European countries, reinforcing the festival's reputation as a major meeting point for Albanians living across the continent.

The first day featured performances from some of the most popular names in Albanian music, drawing thousands of fans and creating an electric atmosphere that transformed the festival grounds into a celebration of Albanian identity, music and culture.

Following a successful opening night, organizers are expecting even larger crowds for the second day of the event. The lineup includes several well-known artists, among them Noizy, Gjesti, Elita 5, Rina, Ukay, DJ Creep, Klajdi, Bruno Miri and DJ Vicky, all expected to deliver another memorable evening of live entertainment.

Beyond the music, Alba Festival continues to serve as an important cultural platform that brings together generations of Albanians living abroad. Through music, language, traditions and shared experiences, the event strengthens connections within the diaspora while promoting Albanian culture to a wider European audience.

As thousands continue to gather in Zurich for the second day of festivities, Alba Festival 2026 is once again confirming its position as the premier celebration of Albanian music and culture in the European diaspora.
