Albania's Day 35 Protests: Diaspora Arrives in Shkodër with UÇK Flags and Patriotic Songs Ahead of National Rally in Tirana

Thousands of Albanians are expected to gather in Tirana on Saturday, July 4, as the country's anti-government movement enters its 35th consecutive day with what organizers have described as a national protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Ahead of the demonstration, dozens of members of the Albanian diaspora arrived in the northern city of Shkodër, where they assembled before continuing their journey toward the capital.

Videos from the scene show long convoys of vehicles traveling south, many displaying Albanian national flags and Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK) flags, while patriotic songs played as supporters headed toward Tirana.

Organizers said protesters will begin gathering at Skanderbeg Square at 7:00 p.m., before marching to the Prime Minister's Office. The demonstration is then expected to continue through the streets of the capital.

According to protest representatives and members of the Albanian diaspora taking part in the rally, their principal and non-negotiable demand remains the unconditional resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The July 4 demonstration is expected to be one of the largest since the protest movement began more than a month ago, reflecting growing participation from both residents and Albanians returning from abroad to join the nationwide mobilization.
