Albania’s U-15 national football team claimed another impressive victory over Switzerland in their second friendly encounter, played today at the Vora stadium. The young Red and Blacks came out on top with a narrow 1-0 win, thanks to a goal scored by captain and striker Haxhi Rrena, the Albanian Football Association (FSHF) confirmed, as reported by Oculus News.
Head coach Armand Dama started the match with the following lineup:
Bastian Brungaj (GK), Drion Ibrahimi, Denis Nikolli, Rian Neza, Albion Muji, Sebastian Sina, Angelos Como, Lorenc Prelala, Haxhi Rrena (C), Fabio Hyseni, and Gentjan Sharka.
Albania started strongly, opening the scoring in the 13th minute with a goal from Haxhi Rrena. The team maintained a high tempo throughout the match, creating numerous chances and controlling the game.
Coach Dama used the opportunity to rotate his squad and give playing time to as many players as possible. Several substitutions were made even in the first half. Players who came off the bench included Klevis Basha, Kevin Rroci, Aend Cekrezi, Marsid Hoxha, Glen Macaj, Joart Mile, Gabriel Palmieri, Erjon Vajushi, and Rajan Dybeli.
With this result, Albania concludes the double-header against Switzerland U-15 with two consecutive wins. Many of the players on the Albanian side come from the FSHF’s “Elite Youth Development Academy,” highlighting the growing strength of the country’s grassroots football system.
