Diamant Hysenaj, Peter Lumaj, Shpëtim (Tim) Qorraj and Joe Hoxha are seeking to secure or retain positions in American representative institutions, competing for different political offices at both the federal and state levels.

The four candidates have different backgrounds, immigration stories and paths into American public life. Two were born in Kosovo and two in Albania, reflecting the diverse roots of the Albanian-American community in the United States.

They are also affiliated with both of the country's major political parties, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party, demonstrating the participation of Albanian-Americans across the American political spectrum.

Their candidacies have attracted attention within Albanian communities in the United States and have also been covered by local American media.

The November 3 elections will determine a number of important positions in the US political system, offering Albanian-American candidates another opportunity to participate in the country's political and institutional life.

Their performance in the elections will be closely followed by members of the Albanian diaspora, for whom the growing involvement of people of Albanian origin in American politics represents an important development.
