An Albanian in Canada won a million dollars in the Lotto Max lottery on October 18.

The father of three children, Gazmen Hashani from Obiliq, Kosovo, who lives in Canada, said that he could not believe that he won the money and that he scanned the ticket twice, local media say.

Canadian media write that citizen Gazmen Hashani won the big prize in the October 18 Lotto Max draw.

“The last ticket I checked said $1 million. I couldn't believe it and scanned it two more times. When said the same, I quickly put the ticket in my pocket. When I told my wife I won $1 million, she started shaking. She was very happy and excited for our family," he said.

He added that he plans to use the money earned to make a down payment on a house. "My body and mind feel calm - a feeling I've never experienced before," he said.
