Greek journalist Giorgos Karaivaz was shot dead outside his home in Alimos.
Preliminary information indicates that some unknown persons fired at the journalist and he died at the spot.
Giorgos Karaivaz, who specialized in crime reporting and worked for private station Star TV, was returning home from work when he was killed by two persons on a motorbike on Friday evening.
Police officers immediately arrived at the scene to investigate the case.
No other details about the tragedy have been revealed until now, in addition to the bitter news.
