China sends teams of doctors and supplies to help Italy fight coronavirus

A team of five experienced Chinese doctors has left for Italy with members of the Beijing Red Cross and specialists from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

According to CCTV, they will bring their skills and supplies to help Italy fight the coronavirus epidemic.

Yesterday the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said to his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio in a phone call that "if the Italian side wants help with teams of specialist doctors, China is ready to send medical personnel to help Italy."

China today reported 22 more deaths for a total of 3158 out of over 4,000 worldwide. With only 24 infected in the last 24 hours, the total number of those affected since the outbreak is more than 80,000 out of over 117,000 cases worldwide.
