The film "Milosevic and me" brings in Albania the well known French actor Gérard Depardieu. The film - a Kosovo-French co-production - directed by Pristina-based director Arben Kastrati, brings the 2003 events coinciding with the post-war period in Kosovo. The story of the main character and his experience of the events permeate the film, conveying tragedy, comic scenes and the reality of a population living in the early days of freedom.

“In Gjirokastra's history, culture and the ever-more-demanding cinema scenery, we welcomed the famous #GérardDepardieu, along with Mayor Flamur Golemi

The great French actor will star in Pristina-based filmmaker Arben Kastrati's "Milosevic and me", who has chosen The City of Stone (Gjirokastra) for the shoot.
Many good things are happening to Gjirokastra that culture has not only history but also the spirit of the day,” writes the former culture minister Mirela Kumbaro.

We remind that Depardieu is also a Russian citizen. On 3 January 2013, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an Executive Order granting Russian citizenship to Depardieu
