The Minister of Tourism emphasized that the arrival of the 5-star hotel is the crowning effort of the Albanian government for many years to transform Albania into a European tourist destination. “It is not only pride but also a satisfaction that Edi Rama's government has succeeded in putting Albania on the map of the capitals with a considerable number of high standard hotels. We managed to secure in Albania a real power-driven by 5-star hotels,” Minister Klosi said in his speech, adding that the 5-star hotels are a locomotive for driving the tourism business to a high standard.
The Minister of Tourism stressed also that the Albanian government's fiscal easing policies in the context of these kind of hotels have led to a strong increase in the development of domestic and foreign tourist accommodation capacities. "In the first 6 months of this year alone, 227 new accommodation structures have been registered in the country," said Minister Klosi, highlighting the ongoing efforts of Albanian investors in the sector.
