Human Trafficking; 450 CDs and 95-page file in today's trial against 49 accused in Tirana

 49 defendants, who were arrested in the framework of operation 'One If By Land', will face today the Court of Serious Crimes.

Upon completion of the Prosecution's investigations, today the defendants will be acquainted with the decision of the Court.

The Prosecutor Eugen Beci handed over to the Court a 95-page file, with 450 CDs full of materials and other evidences.

We recall here that these people are accused of collaborating with each other in trafficking the Albanian citizens to the United States, Canada and England, in exchange of the amounts ranging from $ 30,000 to America and Canada and up to £ 10,000 in England.

During the operation, were destroyed seven criminal groups operating in Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, France, the Dominican Republic, Italy, Britain, Ireland, the US and Canada. They trafficked about 300 Albanians.

The members of these criminal groups actively assisted the Albanian citizens interested in unlawfully emigrating to the Western countries by falsifying the travel documents and their identity.

They used the following itenerars:

- Albania-Italy-United Kingdom

- Albania-France- United Kingdom

- Albania-Bulgaria-Belgium - Dominican Republic-US / Canada

- Albania-Spain- Latin America-US / Canada.
