Kosovo Government ministers, Endrit Shala and Valdrin Lluka revealed on Friday that the Trepça Mines, the company "Trepça" has been registered as a joint stock company and now this giant belongs officially to the state and the people of Kosovo.

The Metallurgical Company "Trepça" starting from today will have another epithet. This giant henceforth officially belongs to the state and people of Kosovo.

Trepça's registration has been announced by Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala, who along with the Deputy Prime Minister Dardan Gashi handed the Trepça's registration certificate to the Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Lluka.

"We have a lot to do, but this historic step will definitely facilitate every process from now and on and for that I feel happy. I want to thank all those who helped this process, including all members of the Trepca board, management, trade union, colleagues in the government and especially the deputies of the Kosovo Parliament," Lluka said.

We remind that the registration of "Trepça" follows the adoption by the Assembly of Kosovo one week ago of the Trepça statute, which opened the way for the registration of the company as a joint stock company, with 80 percent of the shares to the Government of Kosovo and 20 percent are shares of the employees of Trepça.
