 The Albanian Air Force through the Cougar helicopter crew evacuated this Sunday 15 people in the villages of Thesh and Shala after being stuck because of the snow. According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense, there were two sick people among them, whose problems are discovered a few minutes before the departure of the helicopter from Farka.

16 people, including some teachers, are being sent to Shkodra. The Cougar helicopter went to Theth and Shala after the request of the Prefect of Shkodra, after all the attempts to intervene from the ground was impossible.

While the Albanian Road Authority reports that in the Gjirokastra region  the contractors have worked throughout the night and continue to work for the cleaning and distribution of salt, including the roads of Korça, Vlora and Gjirokastra, while the circulation is carried out without chains.

Road situation improvement is also taking place also in the north, but due to low temperatures, it is recommended that road users take care and move at reduced speeds and use winter tires. In some axes, the chains are recommended.
