The song mentions historical events, probably from 1840 to 1890 and there is a crime scene for Janina, namely the Five Wells (Turkish Beşpınar, Greek Pentepigadhia), as an old former area of cultural life for Albanians. The song refers to Zenel Çelo from the village of Horë-Vranisht who after killing the Pasha of the area in his tent is caught in an ambush.
