MPs prosecuted relating to illegal protest, including Basha and Kryemadhi

 State Police has begun criminal proceedings for all Thursday night protesters where for three hours four major national road aces were blocked. Criminal proceedings have begun for a number of protesters and organizers blocking highways on the charge of "Organization and participation in illegal gatherings and manifestations".

It is about 33 politicians and 24 protesters. According to police, they have protested without obtaining the appropriate permits of law enforcement institutions and have prevented the circulation of vehicles on some road axis for about 2 hours, among the defendants are the head of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha, the head of SMI Monika Kryemadhi and deputies of opposition.

All the defendants are accused of "Organizing and Participating in Illegal Protests" and "Prevention of Transport Vehicles" while some protesters are accused of disruption of order and tranquility and air pollution since they are filmed as they have burnt tires of vehicles.

According to police reports, all the proceedings were divided according to the countries where they protested on Thursday. In Vora where for more than two hours stood the Democratic leader Lulzim Basha; Police in the commissariat of Vora in cooperation with the prosecution referred the material for the criminal offenses for 8 organizers, including the head of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha, General Secretary Arben Ristani, the head of the Municipality of Kamza Xhelal Mziu, the deputy Edi Paloka, the deputy Luan Rama, PDK leader Nard Ndoka, and other deputies from both political forces PD and LSI.

The same was the protest that took place in Bradashesh, Elbasan, where amongst the defendants are the chairman of SMI, Monika Kryemadhi, head of PD group Edmond Spaho, and Ervin Salianji. Also in this protest 4 protesters were also processed.

Regarding the protest organized at the Mamurras-Milot road axis, are proceeded 23 organizers, including former Interior Minister Flamur Noka.

Responsible for the protest of Lushnja police has found the deputies Mylsim Murrizi, Tritan Shehu, Enkelejd Alibeaj.

If the accusations are verified, the defendants risk fines from up to 3 years in prison. Also, 4 citizens were prosecuted for the offense "Air Pollution", as some tires have been burned on the road during the rally. They are; BC, 29, resident in Cërrik, S.G., 20, resident in Cërrik, E.B., 28, resident in Peqin, M.G., 24, resident in Cërrik. While police is working to identify and prosecute other citizens in this illegal gathering. As well as several persons were prosecuted for active participation in the rally.
