Newly analyzed CCTV footage has reportedly shed light on the final minutes of the confrontation that led to the death of 20-year-old Portuguese tourist Luis Miguel Varela Mendes at the Principotes venue in Ksamil.

The Final Minutes Captured on Camera
The footage reportedly shows several people leaving the Principotes premises and gathering near the beach. Shortly afterward, Sokrat Lipan, also known as Sokrat Vata, and David Heurtevent approach the group.

At approximately 05:17:14, Luis Mendes is seen pushing Vata, who falls to the ground. Moments later, Vata approaches Mendes and begins striking him.
At 05:17:20, footage reportedly shows Vata and Heurtevent attacking Mendes, while another person intervenes.
The confrontation then moves toward the beach. According to the investigation, Mendes attempts to escape by entering the sea.
Mendes Seen Bloodied After Leaving the Water
At approximately 05:17:53, Mendes reaches the southern part of the beach, where he is reportedly struck and pushed back toward the water.
Seconds later, at 05:18:04, he emerges from the sea and walks toward the Paradise beach area. Surveillance footage reportedly shows that his white shirt is covered in blood.
The footage also reportedly shows Heurtevent returning toward the interior of Principotes with blood visible on his clothing.
At approximately 05:20:28, Sokrat Vata is seen leaving the area with a bloodied white shirt, accompanied by waiter Ildi Cekani toward the Principotes premises.

Investigation Continues
The CCTV material is now part of the evidence being examined by prosecutors as investigators reconstruct the sequence of events and determine the individual responsibility of those involved.
The reported footage provides a chronological account of the confrontation, but the investigation and judicial proceedings will determine how the images correspond with the testimonies and other evidence in the case.
Vata has previously acknowledged responsibility for the stabbing before the Sarandë court, while claiming that he acted instinctively during the chaotic confrontation and did not realize that he had struck Mendes.
The case remains under investigation.
