According to the official statement from Albania’s
Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK), Beqiri owns assets worth millions of euros, including bank accounts, apartments, vehicles, and a luxury castle in France valued at approximately
€2.6 million.

The castle, located in the commune of
Berneuil-en-Bray, in the Oise department of France, about an hour from Paris, has attracted attention due to its historic architecture and luxurious surroundings. The property is surrounded by a park and protective fencing, while its facades and roofs have protected historical monument status under French law.

Millions in Assets Identified by SPAK
SPAK stated that investigations carried out with the cooperation of French authorities identified several assets in France, including:

More than €2 million in bank accounts
- Two apartments
- A luxury castle in Oise purchased for around €2.6 million
- Several motor vehicles
The Albanian prosecution authority said it has requested legal assistance from French judicial authorities to secure the seizure of these assets, along with any additional property that may emerge during further investigations.

Arrested After Entering Restricted Airspace
Ermal Beqiri was arrested by French authorities on July 24, 2026, after entering restricted airspace near the Penly nuclear power plant in Seine-Maritime with a light aircraft. Authorities forced the aircraft to land at Albert Airport in Somme.
A French court ordered the continuation of his detention pending extradition proceedings to Albania.
The case remains under investigation, while SPAK continues efforts to identify and secure assets allegedly connected to criminal activity.
