The announcement comes as the ongoing protest movement in the Albanian capital entered its 75th consecutive day on Thursday.

Protesters gather in central Tirana

As on previous days, protesters gathered after 7:00 p.m. at Skanderbeg Square, where they chanted slogans including “Your end has come,” “A New Albania,” “Rama Resign,” and “Rama in prison, Berisha in prison.”

The demonstrators then marched toward Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, eventually reaching the Prime Minister’s Office, where activists and citizens continued delivering speeches.

According to the activist, the next phase of the demonstration will involve a march through the streets of Tirana, with diaspora supporters expected to participate.

The planned involvement of the diaspora adds an international dimension to the protest movement, as Albanian citizens living abroad continue to express support for the demonstrations taking place in the capital.

The protests have now continued for 75 consecutive days, with demonstrators maintaining their calls for political change and the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
