PUBLIC APPEAL TO THE SERBIAN CONSULATE IN SHKODËR: A “TROJAN HORSE” FOR SERBIA?

Opinion and analysis by Dritan Demiraj, Albanian General and former Minister of Defence

While the outgoing crow, together with the crows of the Renaissance, have criminalized and put all of Albania up for sale, suddenly, as if it had no importance whatsoever for national security, the news has emerged about the opening of the Serbian consulate in Shkodër.

The opening of the Serbian consulate in Shkodër is Serbia’s Trojan Horse and part of a major plan to dismantle Albania.

It is a major paradox because there is no justification whatsoever for opening it; it is in flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention, apart from the hidden role and mission for which it is being opened.

Albanians should know that the opening of the consulate means the legally protected operation of Serbian secret agents who have protection through diplomatic status, and the realization of the Serbian dream of reaching the Adriatic (if we do not stop the plan in Shkodër, the next step is Durrës).

The opening of this consulate is a continuation of Serbia’s cunning efforts to intensify its destructive anti-Albanian activities, increase influence operations, disinformation and intelligence activities in a city where, for years, they have already been allowed to operate freely, even with the knowledge of the outgoing crow and the crow who runs the service.

The city of Shkodër has for decades been one of the priority cities of Serbian intelligence, also because of the very strong influence and connections that Serbo-Montenegrins have had and continue to have with businessmen, powerful groups in Shkodër, some of whom, although they are Albanians abroad, when arrested in the EU have a “one-viç” behind them, international drug-trafficking groups, and strengthened connections abroad in the EU, where Albanian and Serbian traffickers cooperate to the maximum with each other even today, without caring about Albanian national security and dignity.

The use of Serbo-Montenegrin organized crime assets and groups has, since the 1970s–1980s, been one of the tactics and strategies of the UDBA, whose criminals cooperated with it by killing Albanian citizens, but not only them, with the aim of avoiding their punishment in their own country and enabling them to invest in the territory of the former Yugoslavia.

This trend continues today in Serbia and Montenegro under the supervision of the BIA, with the aim of dominating by every means the businesses and support networks in Shkodër, using all means, from “Soft Power” through scholarships for studies in Belgrade, festivals, photographic exhibitions, tourism, music, language, investments, economic cooperation, promotion of Serbian business, “shared history,” which, as I will briefly analyze later, is only criminal toward Albanians, etc., and continuing recruitment through payments, businesses, direct threats and violence.

Now is precisely the moment for Ferit Hoxha to show, for once, how patriotic he is and publicly come out against this case, not as in the case of Serbian minister Snezhana Paunović, who “would have wanted to kill all Albanians in Kosovo?” with only a tweet.

There are no Serbs in Shkodër, but even if there are 10–15 of them, they are welcome to live as long as they do not violate the laws of the country. Meanwhile, in Preshevo, Medvegjë and Bujanoc, more than 70,000 live there. Serbs in Albania have never felt threatened; on the contrary, Albanians in Serbia have been killed, massacred and forcibly displaced from their homes.

As for a Montenegrin minority living in Vraka and Shtoj, they are sufficiently Albanianized and have always been respected in Shkodër.

Rama and his close friend Vučić may remember that the people of Shkodër have not forgotten and have the memory to remember the genocide and horrific killings committed by the Serbo-Montenegrins in 1913, after an 11-month siege, when they entered Shkodër, killing whoever came before them.

Even today, the elderly people of Shkodër, including my mother, remember the Serbo-Montenegrins cutting off people’s heads, cutting off their fingers to take their rings, cutting off their ears to take their earrings, and piercing the bellies of pregnant women in Shkodër with bayonets.

Naturally, the question arises: why now?

Is this the right comparison with that period and today’s Serbian citizens?

Absolutely yes. It is enough to remember what Slobodan Milošević’s machinery did through Vučić’s megaphone during 1998–1999 in Dardania.

And today?

Was it not Vučić’s own government minister, Snezhana Paunović, who declared in front of cameras that, had she been in the place of the Butcher of the Balkans, she would have done even worse?

Therefore, it is time for Bajram Begaj and Ferit Hoxha to speak publicly at least once, because Albanians have a memory and they will never forgive.

Why do I not address the outgoing Prime Minister Rama?

I do not address Rama because I consider it a waste of time now that all Albanians have removed his oxygen tube and his departure is only a matter of time.

Albanians finally understood the call that we have been making to them every day for 14 years: that the outgoing prime minister is there only to protect the interests of foreigners and people such as, in the latest case, his close friend from AKSHI, Ermal Beqiri, wanted by SPAK and arrested in France, who, like many of his thieving collaborators who steal Albanian taxpayers’ money, traveled in airplanes purchased with stolen Albanian money through the skies of France.
