The inaugural flight from Nantes was welcomed with traditional Albanian hospitality, marking the symbolic launch of both new routes. These additions are expected to boost tourism and enhance travel between Albania and two of France’s most prominent cultural and economic regions.

Operating twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, the new routes provide a convenient and direct link for travelers, opening new opportunities for tourism, business, and cultural exchange.

“The launch of these flights to Nantes and Bordeaux by Transavia represents a significant expansion of our collaboration and reflects France’s growing interest in Albania as a tourist destination,” said Piervittorio Farabbi, Chief Operating Officer of Tirana International Airport. “These routes are not only important for tourism, but also for business, culture, and the Albanian community living in France. We remain committed to supporting our airline partners in identifying and developing new markets while continuously enhancing the passenger experience at TIA.”

These new destinations complement the already well-established Paris Orly–Tirana route, which Transavia continues to operate. The airline’s growing presence in Tirana aligns with the airport’s broader strategy to strengthen Albania’s international connectivity.

In recent years, Tirana International Airport has emerged as one of the fastest-growing airports in Southeastern Europe, underscoring Albania’s rising profile as a travel and investment destination.
