At its most recent meeting, the Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Association (FSHF) approved the construction of a small artificial turf football field next to the “Martin Cani” Museum.
This decision follows a request made by the Cani family to the FSHF and its President, Armand Duka. The project aims not only to preserve the memory of Martin Cani but also to promote the values of sport and culture as tools for education and awareness among younger generations.
Martin Cani tragically lost his life near the “Fan Noli” school in November 2024—a heartbreaking event that deeply affected the entire Albanian public.
The new football field, to be built adjacent to the museum that bears his name, will cover an area of 60 square meters. Though modest in size, the field carries significant symbolic value as a space where children and youth can play, learn, and grow through sport.
The FSHF remains strongly committed to implementing projects with social and educational impact, contributing positively to local communities and fostering youth development through sport.
