In an official statement, the municipality announced that unauthorized umbrellas and sunbeds placed on public beach areas have been removed. These zones are designated for use by all citizens and tourists, not for private exploitation.

"As part of the measures for the proper management of the tourist season, we have launched an operation to clear public beaches from umbrellas and sunbeds placed abusively by individuals who have taken over spaces that belong to everyone," the statement read.

Local authorities emphasized that this action will continue along the entire Durrës coastline, with the goal of ensuring that beaches remain free and accessible for all holiday-goers.

The municipality also called on all businesses and individuals to respect public spaces and refrain from illegal occupations, stressing that these areas are shared property meant to be enjoyed by everyone.
