Albania U-19 Draws 2-2 Against Bulgaria in Second Friendly at “Etropole” Stadium

 Albania’s U-19 national team played out a 2-2 draw in their second friendly against Bulgaria, held at the “Etropole” Stadium. The young Red and Blacks came close to securing a win, but a last-minute goal from the hosts denied them victory.

Julian Ahmataj’s side showed promise and determination throughout the match. Albania took an early lead in the 9th minute thanks to a brilliant free-kick goal from Xhoi Nuredini. However, Bulgaria responded quickly through Emil Naydenov, leveling the score. The first half ended 1-1.

For this match, coach Ahmataj started with the following lineup:
Daniele Culi (GK), Yoni El Malem, Ardi Mulaj, Besalet Krasniqi, Samuele Sina, Matia Huqi, Kleo Shpuza, Xhoi Nuredini, Ergis Arifi (C), Artan Latifi, Laert Krasniqi.

In the second half, Albania made several substitutions to push for a win. Devid Hoxha, Tedi Malaj, Rinaldo Nela, and Ledion Fikaj were brought into the game.

Devid Hoxha made an immediate impact, scoring in the 69th minute with a well-placed header following a great play down the wing, putting Albania ahead 2-1.

However, in stoppage time (90+2’), Bulgaria’s Boris Todorov found the back of the net, equalizing the match and sealing a 2-2 result.

Despite the draw, Albania U-19 showed strong character and good individual performances, especially from Nuredini and Hoxha, who both got on the scoresheet. The friendlies provided valuable minutes and experience for the squad as they continue their development on the international stage.
