The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, has announced that around 400 Serbian extremists are being trained in areas bordering Kosovo. In an interview to Albanian media Minister Sveçla stated that this group of extremists is prepared to launch aggressive attacks if ordered by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

Minister Sveçla emphasized that the situation in Northern Kosovo remains fragile due to what he described as Belgrade's destructive approach towards Kosovo. He pointed out, "The situation in the North is calm but fragile due to a destructive approach by Belgrade towards Kosovo, as well as towards our citizens of Serbian nationality."
"Belgrade and Vučić have used Kosovo Serbs, this territory, to create tensions in the region and beyond, seeking to blackmail Kosovo and the international community," added the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Furthermore, Sveçla stressed that decisions regarding tariffs and the dinar are normal for a country aspiring to be part of the European Union and NATO, adding, "We have gained the trust of the citizens for this."
"We aspire to nothing more than to be a democratic country where order and law prevail. Whether it's the decision regarding the dinar or previous decisions regarding tariffs, electricity, they are more than normal decisions for a country aspiring to be part of the EU and NATO," emphasized Sveçla.
On a different note, Kosovo has directly accused Serbia for the terrorist attack on September 24th last year. The criminal Milan Radojić, a close associate of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, took responsibility.
Western countries, including the United States and the European Union, have condemned the terrorist attack in Banja in the strongest terms, demanding that those responsible be brought to justice, as well as unconditional cooperation in the process from Serbia.
Kosovo has urged the EU to impose sanctions on Serbia due to this attack. However, the Union has stated that such measures will be considered once the investigations are concluded.
On the other hand, Serbia has not distanced itself from this incident. On the contrary, it has declared a national mourning day in honor of the slain terrorists.
