Kosovo Prime Albin Kurti congratulates the new minister of the Canton of Lucerne of Kosovar origin: Ms. Fanaj, more than an example of integration!

 The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, congratulated Mrs. Ylfete Fanaj on her appointment as minister in the cantonal government of Luzern.

Kurti wrote on his Facebook that Fanaj has become the first Albanian to hold such an important position.

"As an Albanian pioneer in politics, her achievements are an inspiration and guidance for our diaspora in Switzerland," he wrote.

Ylfete Fanaj, the first Albanian deputy in the Parliament of the Canton of Luzern and the first to lead the Parliament of this Canton, today became the first Albanian minister in the cantonal government of Luzern.

As an Albanian pioneer in politics, her achievements are an inspiration and guidance for our diaspora in Switzerland, which has faithfully served the Swiss state for many years.

This was not the first congratulations for Mrs. Fanaj, and it seems it won't be the last. I wish her success in her new role and tireless work in the face of new responsibilities. Our common bond is not only our origin but also our social democratic orientation. Therefore, we have an obligation to cooperate, in addition to shared interests.
