According to police reports, the incident occurred around 10:45 AM at the “Cianferini” school located on Via Narni. Following a prompt alert, patrol units were dispatched to the scene, where they spotted a young man on a bicycle. Upon seeing the police, he abandoned the bike and attempted to flee on foot through the side streets of the nearby village of Campomaggio.
After a brief pursuit, the suspect was apprehended and subjected to a personal search. Authorities found approximately 12 kilograms of bent copper pipes—components of the school’s drainage system—in his backpack, along with other burglary tools including a handheld battering device, pliers, and a modular wrench.
The young Albanian man was arrested on charges of aggravated theft. By order of the investigating judge, he was placed under house arrest as the investigation continues. Italian authorities are currently verifying whether he may be linked to other criminal incidents in the area.
