The issue of Albanians in the Presheva Valley is no longer just a matter of Serbia, Albania, or Kosovo, but also of the international community, especially the United States. Thirty years ago, when the American Senate dealt with the issue of Kosovo, today it is addressing the issue of the Presheva Valley, which is still part of Serbia and inhabited by Albanians, as reported by many newspapers.

And precisely today, during the hearing on American engagement in the Balkans, Senator Bob Menendez called on the US administration to engage in the matter of the Albanians in the Valley, specifically regarding the suppression of addresses.

Additionally, Senator Menendez emphasized in this hearing that the Albanian minority in Serbia continues to face ongoing discrimination by Serbia.

"I have heard that ethnic Albanians in the Presheva Valley are subjected to continuous discrimination. They have their notification permits revoked, and as a result, they remain stateless," stated the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Bob Menendez.

The Political Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo for Presheva, Medvegja, and Bujanoc stated that she had the fortunate and special honor to meet with the Chairman for Foreign Policy in the US Senate, Senator Bob Menendez, along with the delegation from the Valley, on March 2nd.
