When they arrived at the Karasovići border crossing on Tuesday at around 11:30 a.m., the police officers profiled the 30-year-old and the 44-year-old passenger in the vehicle to the side and called their four-legged detective Hunt, who reacted positively to the presence of drugs in the central part of the vehicle.

By order of the investigating judge of the County Court in Dubrovnik, the vehicle was checked and 20 packages with a total of 11 kg of heroin were found. The driver and passenger were arrested, and a criminal investigation determined that they intended to transport heroin from Albania to the Western European market. The driver and passenger were handed over to the custody supervisor along with a criminal complaint.

This is the second major drug seizure in Karasovići in a month. We remind you that on December 14 last year, police officers together with customs officials found 5.4 kg of heroin and 5.6 kg of cocaine in a bus with Albanian car plates, whose destination was also the Western European market..
