AKR leader Behgjet Pacolli reacted to the statement of the Russian ambassador to Belgrade, Aleksandar Kharchenko, who said that Kosovo's request for recognition by Serbia is "stupid".

In a speech given by Kharchenko on "Strategic Partnership between Russia and Serbia and the situation in the Balkans", Ambassador Kharchenko stated that the EU should put pressure on Kosovo to implement all signed agreements, especially the establishment of the Association of Serb Majority Municipalities.

Pacolli reprimanded the Russian ambassador and his chief in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, calling them "arrogant" and "ashamed of you."

"A diplomat from a big country like Russia, who claims to rank among the civilized and democratic states, must be educated, wise, prudent, and behave according to the diplomatic code.

The Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Belgrade has demonstrated that he does not possess and adhere to neutrality and as such he is very arrogant, full of hatred and frustration towards Kosovo and Albanians, even though he was a close associate of President Athisari who described the final Document to the Secretary of the United Nations General Assembly on the Status of the Republic of Kosovo", Pacolli wrote on Facebook.

He even said that the Russian ambassador's vocabulary in front of the students is so vile that a normal boss in Moscow would fire him immediately.

"His vocabulary (in front of students in Belgrade) is so vile that any normal boss in Moscow would fire him. "Shame on you, Ambassador Kharchenko."
