8 years in prison for former Albanian Organized Crime Chief
 
 Former chief against organized crime in the Vlora Police Directorate Gjergj Kohilla was sentenced to 8 years in prison for drug trafficking and a structured criminal group.

SPAK had requested 12 years in prison for Kohilla, but due to the shortened trialit was reduced by one-third of the sentence.

The former chief against organized crime continues to flee.

Former chief of the Dhërmi police station Sokol Bode continues to be part of the same investigation. 2 senior officials are accused of collaborating with the criminal group "Habilaj" in cannabis trafficking.

Initially, the investigation started together with the former Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, but then their file was separated for unknown reasons until now.
