Albanians optimistic about the future, over 41% expect the improvement of the country's economy

 Most Albanians think that the current situation of how things are going in the country is bad, however, there is optimism that in the future the economy will improve.

This was noticed by the second MRB survey for Euronews Albania, held on January 25 and February 12, and analyzed by experts in the studio.

The survey showed that the majority (59.7%) of respondents were pessimistic, saying that "things in Albania are going wrong" - an increase of 1.7% compared to the first survey.

Regarding the general situation, the majority (62.7%) described as negative the situation that the country's economy is going through and somewhat less negative (42.4%) the situation of the household economy.

But citizens seem optimistic about the next 12 months.

Most expect the country's economy (42.3%) and household economy (41.2%) to improve - 26.7% and 33.7% say it will stay the same, 27.5% and 24.3% say it will deteriorate.

The methodology used  

The national survey of Euronews Albania in cooperation with MRB company conducted 1,600 face-to-face interviews with eligible voters (over 18 years old) in 12 urban and rural constituencies from January 25 to February 12.

Of the respondents, just over half were female (51%).

Preferences for coalitions, the performance of the government and the opposition, as well as the voting trend were some of the main topics that were analyzed, about two months before the general elections in the country.
