President Donald Trump confirms the commitment of US forces in Kosovo. "The United States will continue to contribute to NATO-led KFOR forces, in cooperation with local authorities, bilateral partners and international institutions, to prevent the resumption of hostilities in Kosovo," Trump said in a letter sent to the chair of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi and interim Senate President Chuck Grassley.

He mentioned that currently, 460 American soldiers are engaged in the KFOR mission, out of a total of 4,000 troops. In March of this year, two senators demanded that the United States reconsider its presence in Kosovo if the 100 percent tax on Serbian goods was not abolished, according to A2, a CNN affiliate news channel in Albania.

The move, initially replaced by reciprocity, was completely suspended by Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti to pave the way for a resumption of dialogue with Serbia.
