Three people die in Kosovo as a result of COVID-19

 The Infectious Diseases Clinic in Pristina announced on Saturday that three more people have died as a result of COVID-19 infection.

Patients  had other concomitant diseases, two of them from the Municipality of Prizren and one from Suhareka.

"Last night at the Infectious Diseases Clinic, the patient J.N. passed away. 1963 from the municipality of Prizren and today in the early morning hours died the patient R. B. 1942 from the municipality of Prizren, who in addition to infection with Covid -19 also had concomitant diseases ".

"Today, at 08:15, the patient with the initials DN, born in 1949 from Suhareka, who was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit on 06/23/2020, has died..., confirmed with stretch marks, positive for COVID-19”, it is said in the official announcement.

At the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, 97 cases of COVID-19 are currently hospitalized.

Among them, 45 cases are being treated in wards with oxygen therapy and intensive care.

In the Intensive Care Unit, 5 cases are being treated, 2 cases are in serious condition being treated with oxygen therapy and intensive care, and 3 cases are in critical condition with breathing assisted by respirators, reports the Infectious Diseases Clinic.

With these data, the number of victims of coronavirus in Kosovo goes to 47.
