Albania, 12 new COVID-12 cases in the last 24 hours, 8 in Tirana

 In the last 24 hours, 170 citizens suspected of being affected by Covid-19 have been tested in Albania and 12 resulted positive - contacts of previous cases.

The map location of those affected with COVID19 is as follows: 8 cases in Tirana, 2 in Kamza, 1 in Kruja, and 1 in Fier. While 23 citizens are healed.

In recent days we have seen an improvement in the situation in hospitals as well. Currently, in two COVID hospitals in Tirana, in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and the “Shefqet Ndroqi” Hospital, 29 patients are hospitalized and only 4 of them are in intensive care, and for more than 10 days there is no single life loss, as the Ministry of Health writes

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 868 citizens have been confirmed positive with COVID-19 throughout Albania. Of these, 650 citizens or about 75% have recovered. There are currently 187 active persons with COVID19 throughout the country, mainly in Tirana, Kruja, Shkodra, and Kamza.

Less than 15% of active sufferers are receiving treatment at Covid Hospitals, the rest are being followed by family doctors.

Starting from tomorrow, the following municipalities will be added as green areas: Lushnje, Patos, Roskovec, Korca, Has, Kukës, Lezha, Mirditë, Fushë-Arrez, Malësi e Madhe, Puka, Vau Dejes, Kavaja and Vora, with the same rules.

In these areas is allowed the intercity traffic within the green areas with a private vehicle, allowing the travel of more than two persons of the same family, until 21:00 pm.

They are also allowed to operate under strict security protocols, dental clinics, hairdressers, barbershops and shops in shopping malls.

Starting May 11, all repatriates will be self-guaranteed in their homes.

Despite the easing of measures, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection invites citizens to abide by the rules, maintain physical distance and personal hygiene; businesses must implement security protocols to maintain the health of citizens.
