Italian town in Lombardy with no single infected; Inhabitants blood is being studied

Lombardy is the most affected region by the coronavirus in Italy. However, in the municipality of Ferrera Erbognone, with more than 1,000 inhabitants, in the province of Pavia, there is no infected person.

Tgcom24 writes that this is an extraordinary case, which has forced experts to make it a study object. Pavia's Mondino Neurological Institute decided to examine the blood of residents to identify the presence of antibodies.

"We have chosen to examine the blood of residents of Ferrera Erbognone because it is a community in which there is still no person infected with the coronavirus. The population study can provide us with very important results, which will be shared with virologists later,” said Livio Tronconi, the director-general of the Neurological Institute.
