Giorgio Armani Turns his Factories into 'Workshops' Against Coronavirus: We Will Produce Hospital Clothing!

The donations to the hospitals of Bergamo, Piacenza and Versilia, totaling 2 million euros, were not enough for him. Giorgio Armani wants to increase his contribution to the battle against coronavirus and has therefore decided that all of his factories will produce in this period hospital clothing for single-use.

Armani, an Italian fashion icon around the world, said he would work intensively to provide protection to frontline healthcare workers in the fight against the disease. On Saturday, Armani sent a letter to major newspapers in the country, thanking doctors and nurses for their sacrifices.

“It is touching to see you so engaged in your work, with the difficulties and strains that everyone already knows. But above all, it's touching to see you crying,” he said.

"I think this feeling of mine has a little bit to do with the desire I had when I was young to pursue a career as a doctor, when I was still searching for my path.

Our whole company is very sensitive to this reality and is close to you, from the stretcher to the nurses, from the general practitioners to the specialists in the sector. I personally are very close to you,” the celebrity stylist wrote.
