Last night, world-renowned Albanian grimmer Mario Dedivanovic inaugurated the Albanian Leadership Initiative, a new initiative at Harvard University created and run by Albanian student Deni Hoxha. The project aims to recognize the contributions of successful Albanians in their fields, by unveiling them at Harvard.

At the opening, the President of the Albanian Leadership Initiative, as well as the President and Founder of the Harvard Albanian Association Denny Hoxha, spoke about the initiative: "As for starting, in my childhood lacked Albanian success stories, especially in America, and this project helps to recognize and to promote these stories. This is a way to change that and take advantage of the university's platform to tell about Albania and Albanians."

Mario was the first guest and more than 500 people came to hear his story, and to recognize Mario's contributions to the beauty industry and everything he has done to revolutionize the make-up. The event was in the format of a moderated discussion by Harvard Business School Professor Youngme Moon. Professor Moon said she had never met such an inspirational makeup artist.

For the first time since the "American Influencer Awards 2019", Mario talked about being gay after showing to the world two months ago. During the discussion, a girl from the audience asked Marion, "What advice do you give to Albanian parents?" Mario urged Albanians not to make life difficult for children who have different sexuality and added that: "Children suffer a lot and they do not deserve it. Every parent loves the child whether gay or not. I do not blame my parents because my mother was a shepherd of sheep in Albania and was not educated. Mario also added that he always thinks about his culture and where he comes from.

While tearful he said, "I want to honor the Albanians and I never wanted to shame them."
